It is with great honor that Georgia Advocacy Council is able to inform you that after much planning and plain hard work, we have reached our goal. The goal of creating an organization that is designed to educate organization such as churches, businesses, and any otter organizations on the epidemic this country faces in the form of Dysfunctional Families. We firmly believe and we feel you will also agree that most problems our Nation faces are merely a result of the Dysfunctional Families that naturally will bleed over into the workplace, schools, and government. Many have and are making attempts to fix our government, corporation etc... We do agree our Nation has stumbled a bit, however she is far from falling. We further feel the attempts to fix government will avail nothing. We must fix the man in the mirror (We The People). Are not our great corporations, government all no more than a representation of ourselves? We know this to be fact. Hence our approach. After much research, and having a staff well trained in counseling, and other valuable areas, we unanimously concluded that the Dysfunctional Family/s is the core issue. It merely bleeds over into all other areas of their lives.
Our approach is simple, but arduous. We are formed as a 527 Political Organization at present, and will remain as such, but with the addition very soon of a 501-C3. We feel as many organizations do, it is the perfect combination to effect action and change, real change. Change by hitting the core problem and not the symptoms.
We will offer in-house seminars, and workshops to businesses, churches, and any other organization that desire the priceless information we plan to convey. We will help resolve employee issues by enabling them to recognize Dysfunctional Behavior. Many employee problem, on all levels, are a derivative of having lived and grown up in a Dysfunctional Home. In these Dysfunctional Homes a myriad of Abuses occur, and are on the rise. Sexual, Physical, Emotional and Psychological Abuse is near pandemic levels. To often it is thought to be present only in the lower class or less privileged families, and homes in our great Nation. Our research and simple statistics prove otherwise. It is far more prevalent in middle/upper class homes. These achievers simply have the means to paint a pretty picture, to shield the true dynamics of their family or lack there of.
Additionally we are refurbishing a Motor-Home to allow us to travel all over the State, and have all equipment and materials readily available. This will enable our group to do tremendous work.
We will be assisting many who break free, and or overcome the effects of having been subjected to Dysfunctional Families and Behavior, in gaining their GED or assisting them in getting back into school or college. They simply need the know how, it is there. Should we not be gracious and compassionate enough to aid them?
We are in the process of establishing a 24/7 Crisis Hot-line. This will allow a person to seek advise, and very well in many severe cases enable them to get to safety in the more abusive environments. Georgia Advocacy Council does, and always will adhere to the laws, statutes, and policies set forth by the State of Georgia. Our staff all are well trained, and many are survivors of Dysfunctional Families. They now live normal happy productive lives, and want to share this new found freedom and happiness with those still suffering.
We found it astonishing that many young adults, and more mature adults in many cases were not even aware that what they had and or are experiencing is just not normal, healthy, nor morally acceptable. Once given information that states many of the common components in most all Dysfunctional Homes, they are speechless, many times we have seen tears; not tears of sadness, but of hope in knowing there is a solution.
Many of these young adults are subjected to Sexual Abuse, Physical Abuse, and Emotional and Psychological Abuse. All of which are seriously damaging, especially to a young mind as many have endured these abuses as far back as they can remember. In these families it is a firmly enforced rule; no talking about family things. That translates into; do not dare speak of what really goes on in that pretty house on the hill.
Many of these victims are in dire danger. Many suffer such abuse that they need a Safe-Haven. A place to go and heal, a place where no one knows there location. I am sure you know someone or have heard of someone who fits this description. We plan in the future, once funded properly to offer Safe-Houses for the more severe cases. We will not deal with minors, but will be aligning ourselves with organization of good report who are set up to handle the tedious work involved with minors. Georgia Advocacy Council will work with 18 years of age and up. Many times victims are elderly. It is heart wrenching hearing the stories of many of these victims, but such a glorious feeling when we can free them of the abusive lives they have been subjected to.
Our Seminars, Workshops, Group, and Individual Counseling, will set free many once imprisoned souls. Set free to live normal lives. It is a proven statistical fact that abusers, breed abusers. This chain can be broken through education and the fact that we are willing to bring it to them or to any organization.
We often hear on television and other places that all families are Dysfunctional. This is simply false. Yes, many people even families may at times act out or act in a Dysfunctional manner, but not as the norm. A Dysfunctional Family operates constantly in a Dysfunctional manner. Manipulation, and Guilt cause many to stay in the Abuse. Many young victims truly believe that they are to blame. That is what has been force fed to them. They are not at fault. They are innocent victims who have not had the benefit of being educated on the facts, coupled with the the fear from threats should they speak of the family secrets.
We are reaching out to everyone in hopes that we can garner some of your time and yes we are a not for profit and survive on donations. Time or donations, your choice, or both. Most certainly any recognition or information you can pass to your friends and or contacts would be greatly appreciated by our organization, and I dare say, appreciated very much by many of your friends and contacts. Not so surprising, we all whether we know it or not are acquainted with someone in a Dysfunctional Home.
Georgia Advocacy Council is non-partisan. This is about lives, and happiness, and the freedom to be what one can be. There are no party-lines here, merely love and compassion.
